Age Bands

You can define the ranges of age bands for the Capitation Reports, Health Promotion Reports and for the Age / Sex output option in Ad-hoc searches.

The reports display patient counts by age bands, for example, the Capitation Report splits into 0-4 years, 5-64 years, 65-74 years and 75 years onwards.

How to define Age Bands

  1. Select Age Bands from the top of the screen.
  2. Select either Capitation, Health Promotion, or Age/Sex.

    The Age Range Selection screen displays.
    Alternatively, within the Capitation, Health Promotion or Age/Sex Reports select the Age Ranges button.

  3. Select the first From Age box, and enter the lower age within the first range.
    Then enter the next age in the To Age box, this must always be greater than the From Age.
    • Capitation Report - The age bands defaults are 0-4 years, 5-64, 65-74 and 75-999.
    • Age / Sex - The default is 0-4, 5-14, 15-24, 35-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65-74, 75-84, 85-999.
  4. Enter additional age bands as needed.
  5. Select OK to finish.
